FAQ's on Asset Audit Feature
For detailed configuration steps, please refer to our
help guide.
What is the maximum number of assets that can be included in a single audit?
- A maximum of 50,000 assets can be added to a single audit. If a customer has more than 50,000 assets, the audit can be divided based on conditions and managed accordingly.
Can the scope conditions of an audit be changed after it is initiated?
- Once the audit is initiated for a specific scope, the scope conditions cannot be modified.
Will assets added after defining the scope be included in the audit automatically?
- Newly added assets after the scope is defined will not be dynamically included in the audit operation.
Are email notifications available for asset audits?
Currently, default mail notifications are not available for this audit feature. However, we can provide a workaround to trigger notifications through scripts. If you are fine with proceeding this way, kindly send us an email (looping in our support team) along with your mail server details, and we will assist you further.
- To perform audits, technicians must have the SDAsset Auditor role. The SDAsset Audit Admin will have access to all audit operations.
Can SDAsset Audit Admins conduct audits using the mobile application?
- Technicians with the SDAsset Audit Admin role can conduct audits only via the web application, not through the mobile application.
Will closed audits be visible in the mobile application?
- Once an audit is closed, it will no longer be visible in the mobile application's audit asset view.
How are unaudited assets handled differently in a Tech Audit and a Self Audit?
- Unaudited assets in the Tech Audit process will be automatically moved to the "Missing" state under the Review Stage once the audit is closed, whereas in a Self Audit, they will be marked as "Not Responded".
Where can SDAdmin and SDAsset Audit Admins manually audit assets?
- SDAdmin and SDAsset Audit Admin users can manually audit these assets via the web application.
How are discrepancies found during an audit handled?
- Any discrepancies found during the audit can be updated under the asset, categorising them as identified differences. Technicians can later update the assets in the audit form within the web application.
Can an audit be modified after it is ended?
- Ending an audit will make it read-only, even for SDAdmin, and no further actions can be performed.
Can technicians audit assets outside the defined scope?
- The asset audit is not restricted to assets within the defined scope, allowing techs to audit any random assets. These assets will be categorised as "Out of Scope" State.
Can self-audit users continue auditing after the audit is closed?
- Once the audit is closed, self-audit users will no longer be able to audit their assets. Such assets will be marked as "Not Responded" in the audit state. When the audit ends, these assets will be moved to the "missing" state, similar to technician audits.
Is reporting option available for Asset Audit feature?
- Yes, reporting is available for the Asset Audit feature.
